Utilikilt
Would people be interested if I carried Utilikilt?

I would carry them in my online store sizes 32-44 in various colors.

I would also vend them at various roller derby, ren faire and other events in the tri-state area.

Quite possibly. I just don't know if I can bring myself to spend that much moneyon one. . .

The Vinyl Tripp Kilt was a big hit at combichrist ;)

even with the industrial discount they will cost more than Tripp.

heh, oh yes, I had no doubt about that at all, I was figuring at least 3 -4 times what the tripp ones cost. . .

probably 3 times for the basic one, though full price for a Tripp Kilt in a store or ebay is $75 and full price for an entry level Utilikilt is $105

ahh, that's not too bad.

When I first started looking at them they were still running on parity with an actual tartan from a scottish import store. . . 275 was a bit steep. . .

The Utilikilt is better, but not 3 times better. Neither gives you any kind of long wear warranty. Utilikilt gives you 90 days. They are very well known though and the material has a nice feel. But for SCA thread counters out there, Utilikilt is poly/cotton blend and Tripp is 100% cotton.

I can answer for Christian I am sure he would be interested. I also know that when Utilikilt says what size it is; it is usually that size.
