New Jersey Attacks Re-enactors
Gun ban takes shot at re-enactors
A bill in the Assembly would prohibit battlefield muskets used in historical re-enactments as well as popular deer muzzleloaders used by hunters.

That is about the most retardedly illogical thing I've read in a long time. "Let's ban the weapons LEAST likely to be used in any form of violent conflict as they take the longest between shots."

I don't get NJ (or most governing bodies right now really)

the problem is that the aholes in Trenton are banning all 50 caliber and higher ammo, they probably don't even understand what that means

do the understand that while 50 cal is generally a more powerful round, it's also so very unlikely to be used in crime as to make the bill laughable. 9mm and .38 are far more common. I'd actually be far more concerned with some stockpiling 7.62mm or 5.58mm rounds.

Governments in America are joining those in Europe as being paranoid of an armed population. Not that the people, though they have just cause, are in any shape to rise up at present.

The rule of thumb, red state or blue, is ban, ban, and when in doubt ban some more. Reminding ourselves of our brave past, our stuggle for freedom, The age of millitia is dangerthought and must be considered doubleplus ungood.

King Richard was right.
